Perth's Orbital Engine Corporation expects the first cars equipped
with its fuel injection technology to be released in 2005. Delphi
Corporation, which possesses the rights to make and sell the
technology as part of its engine management system, has signed deals
to install the system in new four-cylinder models to be released by
four brands. The system has been tested in a General Motors' 5.3-
litre Gen III V8 and 4.6-litre XV8 models, the latter of which is
currently being developed.
