IMO, 'the Ken Lays of the world' need to be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law...It is quite clear that he may have committed insider trading on a massive scale AND possible fraud as well. I'm not satisfied to just have him cleaned out by the huge class action lawsuits. He is like a mafia boss who got away with a fortune while piloting the titanic...He has NOT been honest or forthcoming with his stakeholders and the GREED that he and his President and CFO exhibited is appalling. IMO, The Justice Dept. should go after them as if they were terrorists in the marketplace...I have a grad school classmate with a family who lost a good job at Enron because of Ken Lays MIS-management and lying....He was only one of thousands who have lost jobs and lots of their 401ks...IMO, The U.S. Gov't MUST send a CLEAR MESSAGE that fraud and corruption at the highest levels will not be tolerated -- it doesn't matter whether its on Wall Street or in Corporate America...We must hold folks accountable...The market will be better off IF we effectively enforce the laws that we have on the books. I hope the Government will follow through and do that.
