The economic aspects of the conflict always added an air of surreality to affairs -- "Hey, what are you doing? You can't fire us just because we are shooting at you!"

Of course, I wish there were some way to have separated the peaceful from the terrorists, but that is the evil genius of a terrorist campaign -- it ensures that punishment will be collective, no matter what the response (aside from total capitulation).
