Ray: If only half of what I read at this link is true then our country's President has some SERIOUS credibility problems...

mediawhoresonline.com

Once I get beyond the first shocking article I discover more that interests me...this is a passage from an article media whores wrote on Bush and Pitt...

<<...As in the current Enron case, the SEC investigated the possible insider deal. But it brought no charges. Not too surprising, since Dubya's daddy was president, who had appointed the SEC head. And given that the SEC's general counsel at the time, James Doty, actually helped to engineer George W. Bush to buy the Texas Rangers with the Harken stock money.

How can Dubya reassure the nation that his Enron pals got off just like he did?

Maybe a few indictments of Enron execs, brought by the SEC, would be a step in that direction.

And replacing Harvey Pitt as head of the SEC with a more trustworthy and less compromised figure would be another step.

And an even bigger step would be for the White House's G.O.P. allies on Capitol Hill to stop playing games over shutting down huge corporate abuses like the Bermuda loophole.

But none of that occurred to Bush in his radio talk.

All that occurred to him was empty rhetoric, misleading talk of his Administration's tough crack-downs -- and, as ever, Bushian evasion.

Judging from the latest polls, the American people don't buy it. Although most remain fond of Bush, still coming off the traumas of September 11, less than one-third of the public think he's doing all he can to improve the economy...>>

That's powerful stuff...So far 'the mainstream media' like The Washington Post and The New York Times have treated some of these things about Bush with kids gloves -- I know their top editors will move very carefully when they start investigating the nations' President...the stakes are high. IMO, the tough questions need to be asked...I'm ready to learn more.

btw, I believe Salon magazine has a very interesting article on Bush...Do you have a link to it...??

Thanks for sharing your insights. One day we may actually get to the truth...I'm going to keep an open mind right now.

regards,

-Scott
