My viewpoint: the only thing holding this market up around here in California is real estate. I think real estate has done in this mild Spring what it usually does during the Summer months, and I think it's going to be over the top before this year's over.

Today I'm buying far out puts against the indexes. I should have done this months ago when I first got your idea of "plunge protection." Plunge protection reminds me of big nets placed somewhere down beneath the highest parts of the tallest buildings. This would have saved a few during the Great Depression but not their wallets.

I held on to one gold stock - "gg". There, perhaps, is one of the world's richest gold mines. Other than that Fax and and reits are still high on my list.
