Robert,

Speaking of trades, Semi bear's links show something very disturbing at least in regards to jdsu. The co-chairman sold 92k shares to realize a gain of 2c (yes that's 2 cents) on options. That's when the share price was down 95%. And it wasn't a one-time offence. He did that in March, April, and May. And probably the June hasn't reported yet.

I have been reading your messages of encouragement and am very grateful for efforts to keep us out of despair. However, I think (and have said a few times) that we need to understand the sources of supply and demand for stock shares (in addition to a company's products).

So the question that I keep asking is "who is selling his intc/amat/altr/etc... at these low prices ?"

And at least in the case of the 3 companies that semi-bear whas generous enough to share, the answer is insiders. So in the case of that company, is there likelihood the shares will rise when the co-chairman and chief tech officer are selling 100k shares at a time at the price of $2.56/sh ?

As RtS has said, shares of tech stocks will rise when investors see fit to add them to their LONG TERM portfolios.

I agree with your view that solid tech companies will emerge in good shape. But I am unable to figure out the basis for projecting that a certain day or a certain level in the nasdaq index will be the turning point. Especially since you have not supplied a model that also explains why prices are falling everyday. Without that model, you could well be exactly right, but what would be the basis of confidence in it ahead of time.

Lets hope the recovery begins soon.

Regards,
Sarmad
