As some of us keep saying, it's really going be sad to see erstwhile bears get annihilated by "catching the bottom."

I might start to reenter the general markets when I can get a (trailing) P/E on the S&P of 10, but until that happens I am either going to be on the short side or playing special situations, such as the energy cycles or currencies (not via futures), or moderately the precious metals.

I wonder what a six year bear market will do to the country? Maybe, as at the Battle of Vicksburg, everyone will just get used to it as they did to cannon balls during that siege.

My friends seem to be approaching it the way they would a drought--just wait until it's over.
