We have no idea how to fight terrorists. Instead of firing cruise missles from 200 miles away we need to be on the ground making guys disappear in their sleep. They are not afraid of us, they need to be. Some of you older guys probably have more knowledge than I do, but wasn't operation phoenix one of the most successful in Vietnam. Basically, tax collectors and other vietcong simply went to bed and were gone the next morning never to be heard from. That created fear. I know the US may be trying to do this now and we would not hear about it but who knows. I think this campaign has been a disaster so far. Have we killed more civilians or Taliban. What I am really trying to say is take off the gloves and do what is necessary to win this war. Screw what the rest of the world think about our tactics.
