In 1946, the British "gave" part of Palestine to the Jews to use as a home land. Right or wrong, justifiable or not, Israel was created. Look at many of the lands that were once part of the British empire and we can see numerous situations where people were displaced and/or murdered during the civil strife that occurred upon their departure. The creation of Israel was not done to satisfy a biblical claim to the land. It was seen as an "easy way" for Britain to exit another conquered territory and leave behind a HUGE mess for others to deal with.

Are you suggesting that today, in 2002, Israel should not exist because the reasoning behind the nation's creation wasn't very logical?
