All Hail the Emperor...Georgie Porgie! The emperor has no clothes! Couldn't agree more with the head of the Center for Political Integrity tonight on NBC when he said that Bush's "NEW" campaign to clean up business corruption has no credibility.
Lets look at the sequence of events and Bush's lies. In 1994, when caught off guard about his breaking the law, his explanation was that the SEC lost his filings. This was 1994 and came from Bush's own mouth. It was the SEC's fault.
Now jump to July 3, 2002 and Bush sends his talking head, Ari the Deceptor, out to change the cause for his breaking the law..not once, but FOUR times. Ari's new explanation was that, NO it wasn't the fault of the SEC losing the filing but instead the fault of a Harken lawyer.
Now think about this for a minute! Why would Bush change his story in 2002, when all his cronies have been caught looting the company coffers and he wants to send them to jail. Hell! He had to change the story for one simple reason. Remember! He came up with the original explanation on the spur of the momemt, but someone with a degree of intelligence HAD to point out...Shrub, you can't use your original story because a kindergarten student would be able to discern that you were LYING.
And why is this? Simple! If the SEC had lost the original filing and then he again submitted it, HOW would he have known the SEC had lost the first filing. The SEC wouldn't have suddenly told him all these months later...Shrub, you are breaking the law because they wouldn't have known that he had sold the stock in the first place and that they had lost his filing. Only Bush knew he had sold the stock...the SEC wouldn't have known until he actually filed all those many months later. So if Bush was telling in 1994 it was misplaced....why did he suddenly "resubmit" it all these months later. Yeah! He called the SEC up after all these months to check on his filing and then found out how incompetent they were, by losing the President of the United States son's SEC filings.
So now we get a new story in 2002...but still leaves Bush a liar and a crook. |
