What is this world coming to? Especially here in the state of Texas. We have a US Senate race to replace Mr. Personality..Phil Gramm. And with the latest polls out today...Shrub's hand picked man, Cronyn is trailing a black man, Ron Kirk for this Senate seat.

So what has Gramm had to say about this "race"?

"Cornyn spokesman Dave Beckwith in April called the Democratic slate a "racial quota system," a comment Cornyn quickly disavowed as shocking and inappropriate.

Perhaps the most provocative comments came a few weeks ago at the state GOP convention, when Gramm accused Democrats of trying to divide Texans along racial lines.

"This election is about rejecting that dream and that vision once and for all," the three-term senator told a cheering crowd."

And now we have the only black Republican in Congress retiring and what does he say about Mr. Gramm's party(Damn sure wasn't JC WATTS party)and their racial agenda..

"The “party of Lincoln,” he says, has adopted a “robot-like allegiance to conservative views” that blinds it to the historic suffering of African Americans, and causes it to be “often absent on issues of civil rights, equal opportunity and poverty.”
