You should have seen me last night, or heard me. I was trying to set up some fireworks in the middle of a salt marsh in the dark, and got into a tangle of briar bushes, and fell down, getting pretty scratched up. I gave up for a while and just lay there laughing, finally got back to clear and solid ground and did the fireworks in the driveway, almost setting fire to my friend's van. I have a bigger thing to set off tonight but I think I know the right place for it this time. Went clamming this morning and the salt water helped with the scratches on my legs. I also just had a July 4 message from my Russian friend Natasha. She said that she was with some other Russians clelebrating their independence day on June 12 in Estonia, and none of them could explain what it was they were independent of. Happy 4th!
