Thank you for the good wishes, Solon. Many people in NYC are tense today.

Have a good July 4th yourself.

I myself have other plans: We have to go to a July 4th yard-picnic, it's going to be almost 100 degrees today, the air quality is poor and the humidity is high, and there is no air conditioning there even if you go into the house. How do they stand it? They expect 50 people but it's so hot I think most people won't come. If I hadn't promised to read a poem suitable for the occasion I wouldn't go.

I think I'll post the poem. When I found it, and read the last line....
