must find ways to live without the imprimatur of the State, and without
imposing religious demands to be carried out by the State

But by the same token, the non-religious must find ways to live in a country where the basic founding documents clearly incorporate belief in the divine, and must find ways to understand that the Constitutional prohibition on the establishment of religion doesn't mean the establishment of an atheistic or agnostic state.
