Argentina versus USA, taken from Yahoo BGO board:

Little difference if some of you actually do the ratio comparisons between external debt vs GDP for Argentina before the collapse and the USA.

Argentina's external debt was $150billion, it's GDP around $300billion. That's 2:1 ratio. It's budget deficit was 2.5% of GDP, ours is currently small (1%), but nobody here can deny it's not going to balloon as tax payments falter and interest rates rise thereby increasing annual payments on our horrendous national debt. Our external debt is around $2.4 trillion, our GDP around $10 trillion; that's 25% (disgusting for an industrialized nation), but the catch is our's is still growing at $400 billion/year. It's going to hit $3trillion very soon; all of a sudden we begin to look more and more like Argentina.

As of now, I am putting all my paychecks into gold bullion. I will not stand there as my assets drop 30-50% relative to the Europeans or Canadians. Fuck Alan Greenpunk and the US government. I am a registered republican but I am voting Independent next election.
