I am no political expert. But if Bush think's he is not going to win for the second term, mainly due to economy, I think even as a Republican he has no choice but to rethink his position on Keynesain economics. After all a man never repeats his father's mistake.

Just checked this modem vendor, a supplier to MSN Broadband. Indicates some of the products are sold out.

Covad has just started offering DSL connection at somewhat lower speeds at the price of dial-up connection for at least first 3 months. Incentives are still there in light of bankruptcy protection for Covad.

Of course the stocks are telling a different story. That's why I have here to get the reading of the market. But the broadband story is slowly but certainly moving in right direction.
