Essentially, you are outlining what I had foreseen for The Middle Road.

Dunno. One of the things that's happening here is that my bear colleagues are either flat or lightly loaded. If the market rallies here, it won't catch any of the experienced shorters. It was tooearly who got me wondering about this.

I can tell you that nearly all of BearForum is either on the sidelines, a little long, or just a little short.

I am seriously beginning to wonder if there is a floor under price here. Without shorts, prices are free to fall.
