SEATTLE — Terabeam Corporation, a developer of free space optics systems, has been awarded a research and development contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), an agency of the United States Department of Defense.

NOTE: Terrabeam's tranceivers have been outstanding at tracking down and smoking out terrorists. The meaning of "Beam me up Scotty" has taken on a new significance in the light of Terrabeams optical temporal displacement capabilities. The TeraHertz Operational Reachback (THOR) program has been set up to find and demonstrate new ways to handle the Defense Department's increasing needs for moving Terrorists from one side of the planet to the other. Terrabeams's free space optical scanning techniques combined with THOR's very high bandwidth provide the perfect medium for time and relative dimension in space.
As national security interests intensify, the ability to collect, transmit and analyze vast numbers of terrorists requires a flexible, secure transport mechanism with very high bandwidth capability.
