Nadine,

Notice how the concept of "transfer" is beginning tossed about with increasing frequency into the Israeli mindset?

The slippery slope is sliding....

First, ethnic cleansing is brought to the forefront of national debate. If the wall fails to decrease the frequency of suicide bombers, an extremist fundamentalist Jewish policy will be adopted by the Israelis after electing a prime minister who makes Sharon appear compassionate, peaceful, and soft (what a sick thought). The official government policy will be to "transfer" only terrorists and their families out of the occupied territories. During the course of this policy, the distinction between terrorist and civilian blurs and all Palestinians, including Israeli Arabs, will be targeted for transfer. Along this line of thinking, killing Palestinians for the sake of "transfer" will become a legitimate tool of implementing this policy.

Those who have argued the occupation will eventually corrupt the moral fibers of the Israelis are correct. It's not too late to stop this cycle of violence.
