good question....BTW: Why Monday and not tomorrow ? ... Actually I meant at the next open, but just the strange way my brain works....since we had a holiday Thursday, for some reason I typed Monday instead of Friday. Fortunately you can't specify a day for buy orders so I bought on the open this morning as I actually intended. Now, if we can get this market up over 1485 or even better a close over 1500 we'll be into a rally. Until we we get there, I'll be holding my breath.

And to answer you question, I do use stops on individual stocks. On the QQQ, I go by my timing model without stops as it's performance works best without using stops. That's not to say each trade is profitable, but just that for some reason stops don't work in conjunction with the model.

As far as selling puts, I know people who say they have done well doing that, but I haven't tried that approach.

OK mr. market, I'm in so you can head north now!!!!
