But the existence of a higher being is a fact. Marie, that's such an extraordinary statement that I'm all but speechless. I don't recall ever hearing such a claim made before. I've always had the impression that even people who say they "know" that there is a God, what they mean is that they're convinced, that there must be a God, not that it's a fact. Of course, it's possible I misunderstood, but even Greg always framed it in terms of belief even while he cited as fact events of the Bible, like the resurrection, which he felt proved the existence of God. I'm going to have to reflect on this a while.
