That reminds me of the way kids say their prayers and recite poems. Whatever they think they hear, that becomes the verse forever.

In fact, my son, when he was little, called god, "guard," and so in this family, that's what we still say, most of the time, in the same way we still say "it's seven-sirty" for "it's seven thirty" (all times were seven-sirty), and "ham-burg-i-er" for "hamburger" and "I need a save," which he said frequently when he got a little red plastic razor.
