Nadine, no I am not being sarcastic. I could not believe that they would call for Arafat to go until I read it here of all places. I still maintain that there was more to the telethon's than met the eye. The Saudi's wanted to buy the Palestenians and wanted to wean them away from the PLO. And it is their stand that gave Bush the green signal to come out against Arafat. Till then he was neutral where he scolded both Sharon and Arafat in the same breath.

I guess it was the one-on-one ranch walk that Bush and the Saudi crown prince took at Bush's ranch that did the trick.
