iao - Don't forget there has been a bear market for over two years now but if the economic macors are to be beleived then there is a recovery in progress right now. As for how many years of misery, history supports a normal market recovery as the eocnomy recovers and so do earnings. Same companies again, maybe not but big growth companies thre will be as we are just at the beginning of the tech revolution, not the middle and certainly not the end. When the market returns to normality I bet you will buy stocks just as before and just as everyone else will and all wishing they had the foresight to buy in near the bottom. Best, L
