No. The "franchise" that warren describes is much stronger in the case of Intel than it is making little pieces of sharpened iron. The ease of entry to Gillette, although it may not be as discernable to a non-techy, as Warren is, is a much greater threat to Gillette.

But, is Warren wrong in his isolation of the theory of "Franchise"? absolutely not.

But there are other issues, which kind of makes your inquiry a small part of the investment analysis.

But rather than type volumes, it easier just to answer with a summary, "Yes" or "No".

Don't you agree?

And if you are alluding to Warren's famous eschewment of technology, he is not really telling you all he knows. And he has said many times that he must keep a few secrets.
