Noel re: Those who remained in the Jerusalem hills after the Romans expelled the Jews [in the second century A.D.] were a potpourri: farmers and vineyard growers, pagans and converts to Christianity yep, I pondered and here is my so called "pondering" Romans viewed Christians as a judeic sect at the time. Plus Jews moved to the area 1300+ bc not 1100. So your history sucks. Regardless, if Canaanites have a claim that is 3.5K years old and they do not exist anymore surely the next in line are Hebrews. :-))
