Nadine you said:

....wouldn't let any Americans interview the witnesses or suspect,....

Why should the US meddle in their affairs? A crime has been committed on their soil by their citizens. I would expect the US to respect their sovereignty. I know many in the US govt. and more so at he Foggy Bottom, tend to think the way you do. But we need to realize that we have no business in getting involved in such situations.

Again you asked:
....I have a question for you, if the Saudis are in our camp, why have we been forbidden to use our airbases in the Kingdom? Why are we building a duplicate air command center in Qattar?....

My answer: The US has failed to get world support for its campaign against Iraq. They have yet to convince the world the reasons they want to move into Iraq. Once they succeed with the EU and other moderate Arabs, then we can expect to see the Saudis allow increased use of US bases on their soil. The reason I say they are on our side for the war on terror is because they have not moved or lobbied for a US oil boycott. I realize that the impact will not be that devastating because of the Russian supply, but none the same if they did so and their OPEC colleagues joined in, it would have a significant impact on the US at this time. You bet the Saudis are aware of that.

Again you said:
....continue to promote radical Wahhabi Islam through all their mosques.....

Why is the US tolerating Farakkhan's visit with Saddam? Does tolerating that visit mean that the US is promoting Sadam and policies since one of its citizens and his followers are going ahead with the visit?
