Harding's article only makes sense if you blindly follow the indexes or large cap funds.

Good stockpicking and/or following the best funds (http://screen.yahoo.com/a?trfy=170%2F&b=1&z=trfy&db=funds&vw=1) produced very nice profits indeed since 1997.

The trick is, DON'T buy and hold what most of Wall Street wants to sell you.
