JF, RE:"I am so pleased with Schlesinger's column I posted it to two chat groups. I think religion of any form should be kept out of the public forum,including schools, courts, and government. I have high respect for people who find solace in their religion but it should be a highly personal and private thing. And I disagree with those who believe that someones god is looking over our country or even our planet." What you say may sound really patriotic and politically correct... but the thing is that the USA was founded as a god fearing nation by god fearing men and women. When you pull that fabric out of the quilt something seems to fall apart.
