Martha Stewart says, "and I will be exonerated of any ridiculousness. . . . And I choose to go ahead with my work. . . . And we will continue to do that. And I want to focus on my salad."

It reminds me of Leona Helmsley being quoted as saying "only little people pay taxes."

We little people call it "allegations of insider trading and obstruction of justice" whereas the self described "CEO of a NYSE listed company" sloughs it off as "ridiculousness". I didn't think it was a real word until I looked it up and saw it meant just what she intended it to mean, something so silly and slight as to merit no more than her contempt.

However, I like Newsweek's take on it:

>>President Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. . . .

These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people."

That's the formula: Get back to your important work for the people. Dismiss the frivolous allegations. And then find yourself becoming a cultural lightning rod, an unwitting parody of yourself.

BTW, I like your celebrity match idea.
