And hey Dave Schultz was twice the defensive player Bobby Orr was and btw your mother wears army boots:) Look Bobby Orr was a nice guy who was probably the greatest defenseman in Hockey history,but i am sorry, Hockey is Canada's sport. And Hockey players don't get on my top of the pops lists.
Bobby Clark was all peaches and cream superhero, and also pretty damned boring.
Bobby Clark would NEVER get Philadelphia's favorite athlete, hockey is still hockey.
BTW, my most loved athlete, and favorite player and probably the only childhood hero i ever had was a guy called Bobby Shantz:) And his name vanished in the wind ages ago, but he is still that one guy that was my idol,my hero.
Heck, if picked my favorite Boston player it could be Luis Tiant,why, because he created the most baffling delivery i have ever seen and was able to stay in the Bigs throwing pure junk, but with savvy savvy head.

Went into the first week of September with 24-7 record i sat their aghast and horrified when some jerk-off pitcher threw a hard fast ball at him that shattered his left wrist(he threw left-handed) and he was never the same again. Since then NO idols for me:)
