I was talking 2400, thinking Tbred and Barton, but the same applies to Hammer and Barton. If there are 2 processors that will share the same ratings, say 2800, they should have roughly the same average performance on a group of benchmarks.

But this is the problem. AMD has claimed 3400+ for Hammer but what does that mean? What do you think it means? The only definition for QuantiHurtz is that it is relative to Palomino (or is it Tbird?). AMD won't say if that still applies to Hammer. Do you think a 3400+ Palomino will compete with a 3GHz+ NorthWood with 533MHz FSB? If so, what makes you think it will when we know Palomino doesn't scale well? Does 3400+ QuantiHurtz mean something else? What would make anyone think so when AMD refuses to say?
