You said; Buffet's investment indicates after all he does believe in internet. Imagine the things you can do over internet. Innovation, that works and improves people's quality of life always find it's way.

I say I doubt that Mr Buffet believes this.
He believes in an above average return for his shareholders and 9% is substantially above market.
In addition Mr Buffet believes he's a great judge of people, and so this is an investment in Mr Scott, forget the technology.

As this works out, Mr Buffet will probably convert and sell those same shares back to Mr Scotts evolved company.
This is probably already worked out between the parties.

Don't expect Mr Buffet to change anything as it relates to technology; This deal is about Interest & Trust. While it provides Mr Scott with the discretion to use the funds wisely, Mr Buffets return, is the cool 9% and the faith in a long time friendship.
