I was building another bookcase over the holiday. Periodically I think about calculating the area of shelving I have. I've always held on to my books during moves although I have abandoned much furniture to friends. Everyone knows fewer socks come out of a dryer than go in. Books are quite the opposite. If you put 2 books together, the next week you will have three. * * *
