Ok Steve, it looks like we're talking past each other here. Let me see if I can clarify the issues. We seem to be discussing basically two themes. 1. The recent rise in violent crimes. 2. The reason the United States has a high murder rate relative to other industrial countries in the 0-5 age group. I'll start by addressing the first issue since it appears to be the one you're focusing on... The areas experiencing the largest increases in violent crime rates are Washington D.C. Cincinnati, Houston and Los Angeles. What do these areas have in common? How do the increases relate to liberalism? The cops have been put on the defensive in these cities because of cries from liberals of racism every time an African American criminal is killed committing a crime. The race-baiting hucksters are supported by and large by liberals. And in most cases are liberal activists. The fear of local police officers to become victims of race-baiting charlatens are causing a phenomenon known as "de-policing". They are so worried about getting into trouble they hesitate to take decisive action to stop a criminal, lest they be accused of racial profiling or outright racism. Criminals in these areas know the cops have become paralized to act, and have become more and more brazen with their criminal activities. Cincinnati being the most obvious example. The sociological reasons Americans murder young children between the ages of 0-5 are complex. But I believe they primarily involves three things. 1) A loss of principles and values. 2) family breakdown where no father is present 3) a poor quality of education. In all three areas liberals activists have worked against creating the environment around which these things would begin to improve. They want to remove the Christian-Judeo values upon which are nation was founded from every public place, especially, the schools where they're most needed. They want to create a welfare state where the father is seen as simply a paycheck and nothing more. And lastly, they spend millions of dollars a year via the NEA and other groups to force inner city children to attend disfunctional schools, while hypocritically sending their own children to exclusive private ones. e.g. Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy etc... Need more?
