Sam..thanks for the article...this thread is infected with Bush loyalists whose interests are in defending Bush under all circumstances.

But this is short sighted...as Bush starts spending more and more time defending his past actions, and continues to believe that all in fine and wonderful in corporate America his creditability will shrink.

In mid term Bush's popularity is high...but it was also high for Woodrow Wilson, G. Bush Sr., Carter, Ford, and a list of others.

Bush is like a sports player that is peaking in mid season instead of when the playoffs begin. I get the impression that the people around him are so thrilled to be where they are at, that any honest appraisal of Bush's failed policies are just never heard.

My Republican friends defend Bush and voted for him ( I did not) because Bush was a businessman and understands business. Well so far I have learned that Bush understood business well enough to personally profit greatly from it, while those that invested with him lost it all. Bush is just a Bernie Ebbers with a Texas accent.

JMO...Jerome
