I don't know about that. Perhaps it's true, if you want to believe EVERYTHING that appears in type.
My feeling is 2fold:
1. I don't think his ethics have anything to do with how people perceive his stance, as long as what he does now makes sense and deals with the issues. Past is past, and alot of unethical business practices of the past were often (at the time they were perpetrated) legal (though many of Bush's were questionable even in that sense). This doesn't make it right, but it is meant to point out that as long as current problems are dealt with, then the past doesn't need to be taken into consideration.

2. I don't trust ANY politician. They all lack credibility. Christ, they're parasites. So from that standpoint, credibility is a moot point.

While I don't believe in the old saw that those who can't teach.... I have to admit that some of my best teachers were pretty lousy at applying what they knew. While the current issue is about Bush, I think it's fair to compare him to past presidents. And doing that, so far he's stacked up pretty damn well. I have to admit the whole Asscroft thing has me PO'd, but I'll allow for a few errors in a 162 game season.
One has to remember that most of the problems he is now dealing with actually occurred under a prior Presidency that was NOT generally known for telling the truth or dealing with things in an upfront manner.
Is it any surprise these companies were cheating? They got schooled by the best.

So, let's see what he says and does. Could be that he deals with it in a good way.
