Assuming you are correct and community property and retirment funds are more or less immune from seizure then it seems to me that Mrs. Elgindy can sell off some of those assets or use them as collateral for loans to get the family through any short-squeeze of funds they may be having.

I'm not completely convinced that you have established a strong case for Elgindy's family being in dire need or a severe state of hardship.

Have you actually talked to them yet?
