And millions more Japanese would have been killed as well... I do not wish to get into and extended discussion about this, but that is the standard party line, and no one can really know for sure exactly what would have happened without the war crimes that were committed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. (yes, I consider incinerating civilians an extremely serious war crime)
