I don't know if this was covered already, but the 58 dead Hindus in Godhra were also coming back from a meeting where, I believe, they were talking about building a new temple to the God Rama in Ayodhya. Unfortunately they are building this temple on the site of a former mosque, destroyed by Hindus in 1992 (if I recall correctly)- and I believe there were 2000 casualties (both Hindus and Muslims) that resulted as a consequence of the destruction of that Mosque. Neither Hindu nor Muslim religion is intrinsically bad- but horrendous crimes have been carried out in the names of both religions in India. I would hate to have the job of weighing out all the corpses that have been created out of the internecine fighting in India in order to find out who was the most to blame.

Most fanatics can be deadly. I'm not sure the religion matters all that much. You know?
