Whitewater was flat out stealing and swindling. I don't condone the creative accounting, But practices engaged in by Harken were looked into and they were instructed to restate their earnings.

And selling stock before creative accounting is disclosed to the public is insider trading as the coming indictments for Enron and Worldcom executives will make clear. A guess the rule is that no expense must be spared investigating a democratic president's business practices for the past 20 years but a republican president doesn't need to answer any question whatsoever about his past no matter how bad it smells.
