Welcome to the real world of investing. Please keep in mind that owning a weak stock in a weak sector in a weak market brings much anguish and pain. When the money runs out like water from the bay all ships sit in the mud. This stock is stuck in the mud. A market rebound will leave it stranded. New capital is avoiding this sector and will avoid this arena for a long time.
At this price the market is saying the sands of time will run out. The debt will overcome before revenues return. I notice Bernard keeps ever softening as the fundamentals weaken. I believed in this man. He's in over his head. The real players are letting time run it's course and will move when it's right. I always remember hearing that only a few limited players could afford to take over LOR due to it's excessive debt. Too much cash needed to make the deal happen. Couldn't use stock. Now I get it.
Two years ago I was in Bernard's office in New York and he looked at me and said, " I don't think LMT is going to make it, do you?" This was right before GSTRF reported 10,000 subs which I leaked and was berated for. I didn't understand what he meant and now see how wrong he was about so many things. Too many things. I bet on the wrong horse.
This was one REAL expensive horse race. I've ridden this horse 5 years now. When I put the clock of Bernard against the time horizon of the sector in relation to the debt of LOR, it doesn't line up. I admit, at this point I don't have a clue. I do know one thing, I suspect nothing will really change for another year. Bernard and the sector will continue to struggle and so will the shareholders.
Money has to flow back into this sector for LOR to have any chance of survival, as does 60% of the telco industry.
