09:08 ET Samsung said to plan 2002 capex increase-- Lehman Lehman says that rumors have been circulating that Samsung Electronics plans to increase its 2002 capex to W5.5 tln from W4.55 tln due mainly to Samsung's current surplus cash position; while this increase would only add about $76 mln in CY02 capex for DRAM, it is a noteworthy signal that the co plans to spend its previously announced DRAM capex budget of about $1.7 bln.
