The beauty of it is that the foreign investors all pile in at the top of our markets, like the Japanese when they bought all that Hawaiian real estate some years back. Then we yank the rug out from under them and get our assets back for pennies on the dollar. But hey, we've got to finance all our consumption somehow!

Of course some of the other countries like Argentina and Brazil do it to us too, but they're just pikers compared to us.
