Always a pleasure.

I think this is a very close call, and a complicated issue. I respect lots of different opinions on it. The ones I don't respect are that it is "ridiculous" or "stupid."

For example, Congress acting to establish revised language for the Pledge seems to me clearly a violation. OTOH, taking action at this late date to remove it is also problematic.

It would have been better had the issue never been raised at all, or if the Court had confined itself to the "circumstances of its recitation."
