I assume Kasten Chase will continue to use Certicom technology through the term of their licensing agreement (whatever that is). The question is whether or not they'll continue to use it after that, or whether they'll switch to Karthika's technology. Because KC deals with the US Govt. with this product though, it's quite possible that they won't switch as Certicom's ECC implementation is widely known and respected, and the government might not want them to change. We'll just have to see.

I assume the PDA VPN capabilities mentioned here refer to Certicom's movianVPN client.
