The great plains lie deserted now under a hot drying sun. After two years of draught the deep lush grasses are gone -replaced by scattered tufts of brown stalks and a few Creosote trees.Only now and then can then a scrawny lethargic beast can be seen to move slowly on a distant knoll. A plume of hot,smoggy. eye-irritating air rises from the Capital and settles out over the fields to dim ones vision and kill the last vegetation..
Where are all the Bulls, the mighty Rambos, the Yahoos, the flocks of Qualcooms that once feasted here?
