>>>In Anthony's defense: You all raise good points...However OJ was found innocent i remind you. So the comparison here is a moot point.<<<

I agree the comparison is moot. However, OJ wasn't on probation at the time of his allegations and he hadn't been found guilty of a criminal offense (mail fraud) and hadn't been penalized, fined or suspended by any regulatory agencies. All of this was Elgindy's tableset.

>>>What evidence is there to support this case?<<<

Perhaps you should read the indictment and some of the statements within the public domain by some of the players involved. Currently, the matter is in a state of discovery and both sides are trading interrogortories in a case discovery phase. So beyond what's now on the table, more is still in a development phase.

>>>In fact someone please outline for me what is the Governements case...it seems to be spreading in about 1000 different directions everyday. Is this about terrorism now or the 1 Ex-FBI and 1 current FBI agent hired to do background checks.<<<

Please explain what you mean by "how it's spreading." Are you alleging the facts keep changing? Well, I'm not aware of anything like that.

However, there are several aspects to the case. Among them: a) manipulating financial markets; b) FBI agents--did A@P try to corrupt them and did he willfully obtain illegal information from them; c) obstruction of justic--being tipped off about his arrest and perhaps being in the midst of a state of flight; d) terrorism--did Elgindy have any hint that any kind of a terrorist act was going to happen, and was he in consort with anyone else involving terrorism.

>>>Do you really think TONY would be so stupid as to tell these two knuckleheads "go into the FBI and look into the FBi's database" If so you'll have one helluva case trying to pin that one Johnson.<<<

I think the answer to that is he apparently did something knucklehead enough to cause his own mother to sue him. Need we go on?

>>>And Second, going back to the OJ card.... the government did not have the right to seize his assets at anytime as some here postuluated,,,if you recall that's how he paid for his defense (the dream team)<<<

OJ supposedly was involved in a crime with only himself as the perpetrator. No RICO act involved. That's simple enough.

>>>...Later on it was the plantiffs that sued him in civil court (which i have a problem with because he was ruled not guilty) but in fact received a judgement against him. I would venture to say If it were not on TV for all eyes to see,,,, believe you me he would have been found guilty in no-less than a week.<<<

I watched the entire trial. Based on the information presented to the jury, the jury made the correct decision. I don't think that television impacted the minds of the jurors.

>>>Third, Tony does not have unlimited resources against the weight of the United States Federal government who are trumping up charges to break this guy (Perhaps he had prior-knowledge of Sept 11 and he didn't stop it -Prosecutor)
I don't believe even AZT freakazoids believe that one.<<<

Indeed, a determined government is a worthy opponent. However, Elgindy has top notch legal representation. And it's a mistake for you to present as fact that the charges against him are "trumped up." At this juncture, you have no basis whatsoever to make such a judgment.

>>>I do know that he was an arrogant little prick who rustled feathers with Statements to the effect "Tony 3 NASD 0" A reference to his ongoing battle with regulators. This Upset many.<<<

Well, he was close to his inside fed folk. He probably thought he was immune. This much I know. I wouldn't want him scorekeeper to any sports game to which I'd be a participant. He obviously doesn't know how to keep score. And if the current allegations are true, it appears when he played the game, he'd only do so with a stacked deck of cards.

>>>As Mary stated..."if you wanna give than give if you don't then don't" And when Tony's found innocent which he will be because these charges are SO flimsy IMO. the only one that gives me a problem are the weapons charges revealed during the RAID...ER search of the home with a warrant. (However never found on his person)<<<

There are more worthy and more needy organizations needing money than does Amr I. Elgindy. In my humble opinion, your money is better placed in an organization like Doctors Without Borders.

>>>Lastly, Give to The "homeless children" Vs. Elgindy argument:

That appears to be a lame one lol! SINCE WHEN DID ANY OF YOU come to this thread or any other on SI for that matter to make a plea for a "homeless childrens" fund until now.. please post the link. I'll be waiting...<<<

Now you're making a really absurd presumption. I won't even tell you why. Just set back, relax and give the matter some thought.

>>>-MoneyMade
Talent on loan from God!<<<

I didn't realize God was a pawnbroker--lol!
