The only 'tirade' that occurred today was in the market...voting in no uncertain terms that Bush's proposals for reform were stridently superficial and ineffective. But we can expect no more from someone who came into office striving to significantly diminish the role of the SEC and to allow the 'free market' even more 'freedom' to invoke its wondrous ways. The free market punished Enron, WorldCom, and Georgie.
