Ten, re: One bad thing about the duel between Intel and AMD is that it locks both of them in a rat race for speed. And that's turning out to be no more than an expensive p!$$!ng contest, given that few people pay for performance anymore. I don't know. How many folks buy the slowest processor available? Just like any other end user product, folks are willing to pay at least a few extra bucks for perceived value. If not, Intel's business model falls apart. Everybody likes to call the microprocessor business a commodity business. There are no commodity businesses with ~50% GM's. It's still value added. John
